The sky exhibited a special kind of light this morning and I was out before 11 o’clock to witness the rapid changes in colour and tone of pinks, oranges and blues.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Most of the afternoon was spent travelling east to Lake Myvatn, some 2.5 hours from Ólafsfjörður. The nearness of the mountains gave way to expansive vistas of rock, snow and frozen bodies of water. It was difficult to photograph through the bus windows so I give you these details of the holiday apartment. It is certainly not peak season here. It feels unfamiliar like all new places. I hope for lights.
